[ A little after Christmas, Akashi will get home to a present on his bed. It isn't wrapped, but the box is clearly from a bakery in Verens. Inside, there's a selection of different small cakes for him to sample.
There isn't a note either, but given what they are... he should be able to tell. ]
[ Akashi feels that he doesn't have any friends here yet and is therefore wasn't expecting to receive anything for Christmas, so this is a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, he has no money to spare to return the present, which he owns up to through a telepathic text.
Apparently, emotions can be conveyed through mere text, too. The text is in elegant flourished italic. Red. ]
This seems like the worst way to "text" someone. Either way, I've received the cakes. Please don't trespass into my house again.
That said, thank you and Merry Christmas. I currently don't have any money on me as Iruma asked for what amount I had on me when we had met. [ what the fuck akashi ]
[ Akashi please, you aren't!! supposed to acknowledge it at all!!! At least doing it this way he doesn't have to think about the voice to make this time at least. ]
Do you miss the technology, Akashi-chan? But I can't leave my beloved Akashi-chan gifts if I can't trespass. Don't worry, I didn't peek at anything. I was as swift as a ninja. [ And because this is a mental link, he'll find an emoji with a tongue sticking out follows that. ]
Why did you let Iruma-chan walk over you like that though? I know she can be mean, but...
[ He forces the thought to trail off. ]
But! Don't worry, just play with me again sometime, okay?
[ Why does this sound kinkier than it should??????? ]
[Waiting on Seijuro's doorstep when he gets home is a mound of candy and roses. There are 6 red roses, each with a red ribbon wrapped around it and 1 peach rose with a peach ribbon wrapped around it. With each rose there is also a box of heart-shaped chocolates with a card. All it reads is:]

maes vague hand motions about the date idk like a week after kokichi's disappeared
[It probably comes out of nowhere, sometime in the evening. Her dance lesson is done for the day, and really she should be headed home to stretch more and relax--she's been overworking herself with lessons lately and honestly could use it, but she...
She can't relax.
It started off simple enough--She couldn't find Kokichi one day, which, that wasn't really anything new. Sometimes Kokichi just didn't want to be found, and if he didn't, he wouldn't be. That's just how it worked. But... Then it became more than a couple days. There was no trace, and Kaito and Shuichi seemed gone too and at first she told herself not to panic. She'd disappeared for a little while too, after all, but she'd come back.
Only... They didn't. More days passed. Still no sign and her anxiety began to feel light a noose tightening over her heart. She'd thrown herself headfirst into her lessons and practices and rehearsals, even if she wasn't needed that day. She hadn't wanted to think of the implications of it all. She'd barely even spoken to Akashi, distracted as she was, until it all seemed to come to a head, a force that pushed her to seek him out and make sure--
Make sure...
Well.
The voice to his mind is rather urgent] Akashi-kun? Are you there? Rather, are you home?
[ Akashi is better now and he isn't a vampire—thank god for that. He's back to the daily grind which he finds repulsive—still having to work with the librarians the bad mouthed Miu—after all, it doesn't take a lot for Akashi to consider someone or something terrible—and it's not something he likes. Getting home at the end of the day is something he looks forward to, because he gets to read on his own and play chess on his own. If he's lucky, Miu will be free the same time as he is and they'll do something together.
He hasn't been that lucky these past days what with Miu being busy with her schedule, which is fine. Akashi's learning and managing, especially because he doesn't want to come off as overly clingy to the person he cares about most in this world. So tonight, he's just in bed reading a book.
When he lets a telepathic message get through and he hears Miu's voice like that, he gets up right away and open the door. It made him think that she's outside if she sounded so worried, so he had to check if she was outside his apartment right away.
And, well, if she wasn't, then she'll get a response. I am. What's the matter? ]
[As it is, she is right outside, looking startled by the suddenly opened door. Her hand is raised in preparation to knock, but it's clear she'd been hesitant on it. She'd been too worried that if she did, he wouldn't answer.]
Oh.
[A noise of relief. Her hand drops to her side and she just looks at him, wide-eyed and uncertain, like she hadn't expected it'd get this far and now that it has, had no preparation for beyond it.
She looks over him slowly, confirming he's real, before she suddenly moves forward to throw her arms around his waist and press her face against his chest.]
Sorry-- Sorry, it's nothing to worry about, really everything's fine-- [She says that but her actions sure make it seem otherwise] I just... I just needed to see you.
[ Mayuzumi was out of the house especially early this morning; when he returns a few hours later and has double checked to make sure there isn't anyone else in the house, Akashi gets a knock on his room's door. ]
Hey, uh, have you got a minute?
[ If Mayuzumi sounds at all out of the ordinary, it's maybe because he's doing something today he doesn't do particularly often; the box in his hand attests to that. But then again, going out of his way for Akashi is maybe starting to become a regular part of life for him these days... ]
[ Akashi was out early this morning, too, but he's back by around 8 AM and is back in bed. He didn't bother changing from his outside clothes, so when he answers the door after he hears Mayuzumi knocking, the older boy will find the red head in this. Probably without the jacket, at least. ]
[ Unlike Akashi, Mayuzumi isn't particularly dressed up; a pullover and jeans are good enough for this kind of thing, right? ]
Nothing major.
It's your birthday, right?
[ He holds up the box; it's a plainly wrapped gift, a white box tied up with a red ribbon. It's just large enough to be more comfortably held with two hands rather than one. ]
Figured I should get you something, so...Happy Birthday.
[ It had taken him a little while to figure out what to get the guy since he doesn't have a lot of experience buying gifts. But then he'd spotted this item in the window of one of the little shops near the cafe he works at, and thought it'd be a step up from just defaulting to getting the guy a volume of what passes for forgettable pop fiction around here. ]
[ Midorima is sitting at the table around dinner time after he's gotten home from work and getting his horoscope. He hasn't gone out for practice yet, but he has something very, very important to work on. It's getting close to the date, and he hasn't finalized his itinerary for his date with Weiss yet.
He flat out doesn't even seem to notice when Akashi walks into the room and the food next to him (instant soup) is largely untouched. He's focused on a sheet of paper he's working on, with what looks like a check list and a schedule on it.. ]
[ What can you get a red-haired guy who has a horse? Two red ribbons for both him and his horse. They're waiting in a bag left outside his house on the 25th.
[ in front of Akashi's door will be a new pair of trainers on Christmas morning, along with the following note:
Sagittarius's lucky item today is trainers.
Which definitely made Midorima feel like luck was on his side, since he had to have those custom ordered a while ago since it isn't like they have standard athletics trainers in bright red all over Empatheias... ]
[ Kuroko is very poor. As much as he wishes he can afford to buy amazing things, that isn't the case.
The first is an obviously easy one in the form of a tin of Christmas decorated cookies. The second is a joint gift with Midorima and the one thing he spent most of his money on: a commissioned shoji board.
[ Emerald hasn't been showing up to basketball or anywhere else Akashi normally sees her, but before he gets too worried (or tries to visit the pile of rubble that used to be their apartment building) she ends up contacting him. Her tone is kind of flat, almost defeated. She would've come but she's still really emotional, in ways that.. she doesn't consider stable enough to go somewhere Akashi is. He can control himself, she brought down a building. She doesn't want to destroy anything else he cares about, especially after he just lost someone important. ]
Hey. Mercury is here. We moved.
Edited (i missed half the tag.. oops...) 2019-01-15 05:50 (UTC)
[ He had been worried, but not to the point that he would search high and low for her. Maybe she just didn't want to play basketball recently. It happens to some people (not... him and the other boys, though), and he doesn't mind.
Her attempt at contacting him is appreciated, though, and his worry just grows all the more when he senses how dejected she is based on her tone. ]
Where are you now.
[ They can talk about Mercury later. He's not important. ]
[ Mercury is important to Emerald. He'll come up, undoubtedly. He has to, because he's part of Emerald's life. Just like Akashi is, which is why he's the first and only person she's really talked to besides Mercury in the past few days. ]
Some field outside of town. North-east maybe? I wasn't really paying attention, I'm just trying to walk until I get tired so I can go home and not have to worry about ruining anything else.
[ HE THOUGHT HE TOLD YOU HE DOESN'T WANNA DO THE LAUNDRY!!! The whole stealing of legs thing is kind of weird but maybe it's an expression where she's from. I mean, Akashi can break ankles... ]
. . . I thought we established that I have no intention of doing your laundry.
[ Akashi's tongue doesn't barge in and demand for Emerald's. He's gentle in prodding Emerald's tongue, licking just the tip of it when he finds it. He wants their tongues to dance together as he presses his body against hers. There's no hesitation in his actions, but he's being careful nonetheless because he doesn't want to be too forward that he'd scare her. He can tell she wants something more, but it's best to go slow.
His hand moves from her face to hold her shoulder, to make her stay where she is, even though she really has no place else to go. The lights around them turn a deep red, as if adding to the mood the two of them are in. Then, once his other hand has dipped a little lower just an inch from her ass, he breaks the kiss to ask: ]
[ Emerald doesn't scare easily. The funniest thing is that she constantly worried about scaring him off. In fact, she follows him as he pulls his lips away to speak. He may not have wanted to take her mouth, but she wanted him to. She was going to take his tongue if he wouldn't hers. Emerald doesn't follow up on it as his words catch up with her though. ]
Oh.
[ She definitely didn't know what to say for a second. She definitely doesn't know what to do when it comes to stuff like this, but she wants to. She can feel it, excitement running through her veins. She nods. ]
[ Emerald knows where Akashi works. That's probably a sentence that some people would think sounds scary, but for Akashi it shouldn't be. It just means that she's going to be waiting on a bench outside of his work waiting for him to finish up. She didn't want to bother him, but she needs to be around someone. She just doesn't know what to do. So she's laying on the bench with her knees up (benches definitely aren't long enough for a person to properly lay on), trying to read a book but she's so distracted she's been staring at the same page for about 10 minutes. There are bushes behind that seem to have had all the water slurped out of them into a dried up dead plant because of her emotions. ]
[ Akashi leaves the bank at almost sundown, when the skies are orange and pink and the wind is beginning to get chilly. His hands are in his pockets and he has a coat on despite it being spring; a scarf is wrapped around his neck. There aren't any bags below his eyes—there never are—but he still looks tired after a long work day.
He spots Emerald in front of the bank, but their eyes don't meet. It's obvious she's down, so she doesn't ask how she's feeling. Instead, he sits down next to her as he removes a hand from his coat to take hers in his. ]
