I'm gonna worry if I put all four of you out on the street because I have a panic attack.

[ At the reminder of the food, Emerald takes a deep breath, then quickly finishes eating. She's clearly not enjoying the food, but sometimes it's more important to just get it down even if you don't feel like eating. She can't respond verbally with all the bread in her mouth so she shakes her head, then reaches for the milk to try to.. soften it a little. She's trying to go fast so he doesn't have to wait on her. ]

[ It's more like Akashi doesn't feel the need to worry when he can negate Emerald's feelings. He decides not to say anything more about it. ]

I'll go get my coat.

[ It's in the kitchen, so he'll just put that back on. ]

You can leave those there for now. I'll clean up when I get back.

[ Emerald says something with her mouth full, but it's basically incomprehensible. It's probably just acknowledgement of what he said, but who really knows.

She ate that way too fast and now she's sitting here trying not to burp because at least she's not that kind of rude. ]

[ He comes back moments later dressed up and ready to go. He'll just wait for Emerald to not look like she's going to throw up before heading to the door. ]

[ She clears her throat to kind of cover up a little noise, then comes after following him. ]

I ate too fast.

You'll have to rest for a while, then. Let the food go down for a while.

I can rest on the horse, it's fine. It's just bread and milk.

[ or maybe she wants an excuse to stay, she doesn't know. ]

Are you sure? It's not advisable to ride a horse if your stomach is full.

[ He doesn't want Emerald to barf on him, too. ]

Stay here a while longer. You can tell Mercury that you're just waiting to feel less bloated before going back. I doubt it would be an issue.

Can I sleep on your couch?

[ She's going back and forth from wanting to leave and wanting to stay so fast Akashi's probably going to get whiplash. She'll just leave if something happens. ]

[ It's not fine to be indecisive about things. Emerald is in a fragile state right now though and that's why Akashi's just allowing it without saying anything about it. She took care of him when he asked for her company. As a friend, he should do the same with no room for judgment. ]

You'll get sick if you sleep out here. Take my bed, and I'll borrow extra blankets from Shintarou so I can be the one to stay here.

[ He doesn't get sick!! ]

Your couch is easily in one of the top ten warmest places I've ever slept, I'm not going to get sick.

[ She can sleep outside without getting sick, she's not concerned about the couch.. ]

You wouldn't sleep on the couch when you stayed at my place either.

[ There's the whole being chivalrous thing that Akashi is, which is why he doesn't want her to sleep on the couch. What's more, if Midorima sees her, he's likely not going to approve of Emerald spending the night in their house. It's not that Akashi intends to hide her like a deep, dark secret, but he can't exactly tell her to be honest with Kuroko and Mayuzumi now. He's just... prolonging what he told Midorima he would do. ]

I'm not letting you sleep on the couch. [ The urge to make a command is something he fights back, but the way his eyes narrow is something he can't. He's not like Cinder. He doesn't want her to see him as somebody like her. He has no intention of using Emerald and treating her like she's a disposable tool. ] Stay in my room where it's warm. If you don't want to sleep in my bed, I'll acquire a futon.

[ "I'm not letting you" is clear enough as it is, so she doesn't argue again. When it's Akashi, most of the time she doesn't need to be told more than once after he clarifies whether or not he's going to be flexible on something. It's easier to just listen right now anyway. ]

Let's just do what you did at the apartment then.

[ Though she definitely doesn't have pajamas to change into this time, but she'll.. figure it out. ]

[ Okay! That's not a bad enough compromise. ]

Do you also want me to tell you a story?

[ He'll lend her one of his t-shirts to wear just so she's comfortable. She won't even have asked before he offers it to her. ]

Eh, I'll leave that up to you. I'd be fine if you just smacked me upside the head with something so I went to sleep without thinking too much.

[ She's joking. Probably. ]

I wouldn't do that.

[ Emerald, please. He can be violent, but he's not a brute!! ]

I'll lend you a shirt and a towel so you can wash up, too.

I know. You're too nice to do something like that.

[ She genuinely doesn't believe that he would hurt her even if she couldn't kick his ass, honestly. Not on purpose.

Emerald starts heading toward the bedrooms, but she isn't really sure which one is his so she's going to slowly approach the first door and look over at Akashi to see if he's going to stop her or if it's his room. ]

[ Nope, not that one. Akashi walks over to his door and opens it for Emerald. He's fine with not cleaning up his room even though a girl is coming in. There's not really much to see in the first place. It's a very minimalistic and classy room with a desk, a shelf, a closet, a small bedside table, a lamp, and a bed. On the desk is a figure of a white horse—heavy, should Emerald try to lift it. There are books everywhere, ranging from pieces of literature to more academic ones. To the side are some weights he's purchased for himself because he'd like to keep fit even without having to go to the gym regularly. Akashi's not a messy person. This room is a lot tidier than his own when they lived next to each other. ]

Make yourself comfortable. I'll just clean up in the living room.

[ When Akashi comes back, Emerald is going to be laying on the floor and staring up at the ceiling with her hands folded over her stomach.

It felt weird trying to get into his bed, OK? ]

[glorifies]

That's not comfortable.

[ Akashi doesn't help her up, though. Instead, he picks out his biggest shirt from his closet to hand to Emerald. It's a tie-dye shirt. Enjoy!!!!

He'll get changed afterwards to more comfortable clothing. ]

Have you ever tired laying flat on the ground? It's good for your back.

[ She accepts the shirt and holds it up above her, staring at it as if she's forgotten everything that's happened today. ]

Why do you own this? What era is this from?

[glorifies]

It will hurt the back of your head.

[ ... He'd say more but the judging tone in her voice is impossible to miss. Why does she always judge what he wears? ]

It's a nice shirt, not mention, it's soft and easy to move in.

It's hilarious.

[ She sits up and slips it on over her current clothes, wiggling underneath it for a moment, then her top-side clothing falls out from the body just as her arms poke out of the arm holes. ]

[glorifies]

[ Is she dressing up and undressing herself— SHE IS UNDRESSING HERSELF. . . Akashi immediately looks upwards, face a little red. He's not thinking about anything, la la la. ]

At least give me a warning, Emerald.

[ They might be similar in height but he's definitely broader than she is so she's got room enough she's not worried about him seeing anything! ]
