[ The delivery will end up with Akashi's cougar landlady. Akashi is already out the door before 5 AM even hits as he's preparing for his breakfast date with Emerald. The two of them didn't make plans, but he intends to surprise her with a nice breakfast at a cosy cafe he found somewhere in town. He made a reservation at one with private booths. They have to sit on the floor but there are pillows everywhere and even blankets... he thinks she'd like it!

Hopefully she doesn't punch him for waking her up so early. He's cute today... he has the bunny ears! Love him?! He's even wearing a tie-dye shirt underneath a shirt jacket... He's somehow aiming for the tie-dye preppy look this morning.

Once he's at the door to her shared apartment with Mayuzumi, he rings Emerald's device. So much for not waking her up early... ]

[ Why is he!! Like this!!!!!

This is a thought that Emerald has when she's woken up by her device vibrating in her ear, left on the pillow as she played through things while trying to fall asleep. She peers at the time in the corner of her phone and picks it up, just whispering: ]

Hold on.

[ It's early in the morning but not an odd time for Akashi so she's leaving the room so as to not wake up Mayuzumi before she talks. She lets out a yawn as she does, stretching her arms above her head before putting him on speaker phone and sitting down in the kitchen. ]

Good morning.. did you like them? [ She just assumes he is choosing to ignore her request kasjdladsg ]

Like what?

[ Contrary to Emerald's groggy voice, Akashi's is alive and chipper. He doesn't know what Emerald is talking about. ]

I'm outside. Let's go out for a walk and breakfast.

[ At five in the fucking morning!!! 😄 ]

The flowers I sent with the message "Don't wake me up super early in the morning."

[ She yawns it out, but she doesn't sound mad. She opens the door a second later. Wearing this, since she was going to harass surprise Mayuzumi with it when he woke up since he likes sexy surprises more than Akashi does. (She's pretty sure he's going to have a heart attack at her opening the door wearing this but doesn't care because it's 5 in the morning.) And it's red because she heard Valentine's was a time for red and pink, and she doesn't think she looks great in pink. She hangs up the phone after she sees him. ]

Good morning.

[ HE!!! Is purposely averting her gaze. That pot next to Mayuzumi's front door is really pretty. What the fuck. His face is red, much like his hair. ]

Good- Good morning.

[ ... he doesn't even know what he was going to say anymore holy shit ]

[unhappy]

[ She moves out of the doorway so he can come in. ]

Hurry up, it's cold.

[ She's like. Freezing. BEcause it's 5am it's cold out. ]

[glorifies]

[ Hurry up, she says... As if that's easy to do???

Rather than hurrying up, he takes off his jacket (say hello to his tie-dye shirt in full view. It's even tucked in because he doesn't live in the jungle.) and then turns back to face her so he can cover her up before stepping in. ]

I'm sorry, I left early so I could surprise you. Although it seems I'm the one who's surprised... ah. . .

I was planning a different surprise for you, this surprise was going to be for Chihiro...

[ She had plans to ruin both their whole lives today. (Well, ruin is probably the wrong word. She was excited about getting to celebrate this holiday okay!!) Once he's in she closes the door. ]

I got you flowers that... actually match your shirt [ what are you wearing you nerd.. ] and a note because I was going to wake Chihiro up by climbing on his lap and feeding him breakfast. [ Then she got him a new book she figured he could read it while she snuggled under his arm or something or do whatever he wanted that day.. ] Then I was going to come over while you were out to visit him and make tofu soup at your apartment for dinner wearing just an apron, carefully planned so you'd come home somewhere about halfway.

[ ...BUT THE ENTIRE PLAN IS ALREADY AWRY SO SHE AT LEAST WANTS TO TELL HIM SO HE KNOWS SHE THOUGHT ABOUT IT!! ]

Our surprises crashed into each other. I can go get dressed if you want to relax for a bit.

[ Oh :( That gets Akashi to frown. He didn't want to ruin Emerald's plans... The surprise was for her, that's why he's here... but she came up with something so elaborate that he feels bad. ]

I'm sorry. I can go back to my apartment and just see you later, then. You don't have to make way for me.

[unhappy]

No way, you're already here.

[ She moves over to give him a kiss, putting both hands on his hips as she does. ]

I love breakfast with you too. I don't really care as long as I get to spend time with both of you. If I didn't tell you what I was doing you'd either think I always sleep like this or that I didn't try to give you a present. I can still make you soup later.

[glorifies]

[ He kisses her back, at least, but it still doesn't sit right with him. ]

You were going to surprise Mayuzumi-san... but if you'll leave now, then you won't be able to do it.

[ It's Iris. He's being way too generous. ]

I suppose, traditionally, it's you who's supposed to surprise me and give me chocolates on this day, anyway.

[ She moves her arms up so her forearms are resting on his shoulders, and the folds her hands behind his neck. ]

Sei, I will just ambush him tonight. If I pretend I forgot all day, he'll be extra antsy tonight if he thinks I forgot. Just trust me.

[ She's fine being mean to him?? Her plan was more about convenience because she was sleeping here last night and with her plan, she didn't have to get up. ]

This isn't inconvenient to you?

[ He'll be fine if she says yes. He just doesn't want to ruin her day, that's all. ]

[unhappy]

..No?

[ No one is at risk of dying, starving, or going to jail. Emerald gives him another soft kiss, then puts her arms down. ]

What's inconvenient is you moping around acting like you've ruined something when I'm just cranky because it's 5 in the morning.

[ WHICH SHE HAS TOLD HIM. MULTIPLE TIMES SHE DOESN'T APPRECIATE. ]

Go sit down, I'm going to get dressed since you're more mopey than turned on by it.

[ Which is honestly the most depressing part of this whole scenario, she thinks, so she's going to reach up to mess up his hair with a quick ruffle for the sole purpose of distracting him so he doesn't try to stop her, then head back toward the bedroom to get some real clothing. ]

Alright. If you say so.

[ Fine!! He'll stop moping around... just a little. He'll be better later on. But he still fixes his hair... that didn't do anything to help him feel better.

While she's getting dressed, he waits on the couch, not really touching anything or looking at anything in particular. He looks pretty reserved, like he doesn't belong here. It's still very early, after all. He also doesn't want to seem like he's too relaxed in someone else's apartment, even if he is dating its two tenants. ]

[unhappy]

[ Okay.. he said walk and breakfast. So she looks through her closet for a moment and ends up picking out something like this. It covers way more than normal so Akashi can relax!!! Well, sort of. At least the front is covered. Oh well. She comes out and comes over to the couch and just flat out lays over Akashi's lap. ]

Okay, ready.

[ ..Her hair is just always in pigtails she doesn't need to do much more than brush it and she uses pretty simple makeup, so that wasn't too long of a wait. ]

[ He leans in to kiss the side of her head and just... kind of rests on her for a bit. ]

You won't feel cold wearing that?

[unhappy]

I'll be fine. It's not Sanguis or anything, and if I get cold you'll warm me up.

[ Who needs jacket when you have boyfriend? ]

I'll take care of you.

[ As he always does! If she's fine with no jacket, then alright. Although he's not really sure how to get up now... ]

The cafe I made reservations for will open at 6. We have some time to spare.

How far is the walk?

[ She sits up and sits next to him on the couch. She could give him a quick bj if they have time so he's still surprised, she thinks. She knows he likes that. ]

It depends on how we walk. I suppose it could take us fifteen to twenty minutes.

[ That would really surprise him??? The cafe has a special menu which is the surprise for Emerald, but they do serve meat in the mornings, too. ]

So we've basically got a good.. oh, twenty or so minutes to blow?

[ She puts a hand on his knee when she says that, low key bringing her hand up his thigh a little. ]

[ He came here to take her out on a date, so his mind is pretty set on romance. It's impossible to hide how flustered he is with how casual Emerald just proposes that. His hold on her even loosens a little. Ah... ]

What— you mean now? I'm— [ not ready......................... ]

We don't have to. I just thought it'd be good to get it out early, on account of..

[ she reaches up to touch his ear a little. ]

Not just because of that, but it's happening at some point today.

But... Mayuzumi-san is asleep...

[ Akashi's not noisy or anything but what if he wakes up??? He's not going to say no or anything, but he's just not sure if this is the place for it. ]
