Fine. I will. But I also haven't been able to touch you in months so excuse me for wanting every excuse.

[ She goes to head over to the couch now to plop down. She's wondering if she's changed any since she isn't quite.. as obedient as she once was. She's doing what she wants and it seems like she's embarrassing him at every turn and it's frustrating. But she also knows she's just more easily frustrated than she was before and that's not his fault. ]

[ He watches her as she moves to sit, and for a moment, he just stays where he is. It feels like he's done something wrong. ]

I hadn't considered that. I'm sorry, Emerald.

[ Not that Emerald needs an excuse to touch him, but doing it out of the blue surprised him, that's all. It wasn't unwelcome.

He joins her on the couch. If she lets him, he'll place an arm around her shoulder and pull her close to him so she can rest on his shoulder. ]

[ She lets him, but it takes her a second or two before she leans into it. ]

It's not your fault. I'm happy to see you and it's awkward to have this suddenly meaning something different here, I just get..

[ She takes a short breath, a sigh. ]

If I act out of line just tell me I'm doing it and give me a few seconds.

[ She doesn't think she'll react as hair trigger angry as she was back home, but it's obvious she's still getting emotional about things. ]

Will you stay here with me tonight?

[ If it's been months for her, then he has a lot of catching up to do. He doesn't intend to make it up to her by touching her the same way she did him, but he wants to spend time with her. Not to mention, being here is a reminder that not only are they together, but that they were almost separated. Akashi doesn't want to lose her again. ]

We can do whatever you'd like to do. Just be with me.

Yeah. I don't know what I want to do though.

[ She just wants to be there. She can just sit here next to him for hours lost in thought and it'd still be an improvement. ]

I really do want to help Yukimaru though, I wasn't just being rude about that. That's hilarious, which means he should probably get help.

Ah. I don't think I've played the violin for you. You mentioned wanting to hear me play before.

[ Maybe some music would help her calm down some, too. ]

As for Yukimaru, I do intend on seeking assistance. I had prioritised finding a place to stay in first. I thought waiting it out would also work, but it seems a day of being here hasn't helped any.

[ She looks a little surprised at that offer. She would've thought he'd be super out of practice, since she doesn't remember him playing in Verens. It kind of makes her happy if that's true, if he wants to let her listen anyway.

Or maybe he's just that confident that he won't make a mistake without practicing. She doesn't know. ]

You can play for me if you want.

[ She nods about Yukimaru. She doesn't know anything about horses so it's not like she can offer more than her help, if he wants any of it. he knows now at least. ]

[glorifies]

Give me a moment, then. I want to stay like this a little longer.

[ Akashi's not as clingy, but... he wants to be near Emerald, too. It's not like they're going to be separated if Akashi gets his violin, but that means he won't be able to hold her for a little while.

This is fine for now. ]

[ Emerald looks at him for a moment, then starts scooting down on the couch. She puts her feet up over the edge, but only so she can rest her head on his lap. ]

If that's an option, I'm just going to stay here.

[glorifies]

[ He'll let her do as he pleases, and once she's resting on his lap, he strokes her hair gently to get her to relax even more.

His voice is not shrill enough for folk songs, but he softly sings the lyrics to a folk song, anyway. He's doesn't mean to put her to sleep, but it seems like a good moment to sing to her and make it known that he's here with her. ]

[ It doesn't put her to sleep. She's not the kind of person who's ever really been sung to, so the way she watches him as he hums it is with interest rather than allowing it to fall into the background and let herself relax. It's bizarre, but she finds herself liking it. She also finds herself a little lost when she feels like there's something missing.

She had never met Akashi before Empatheias. Him without his actual warmth and lights and comforting magic is weird. It's still him, but it's an adjustment. Emerald ends up turning to her side so she can rest her forehead against his stomach. ]

Are you alright?

[ He's fine, but it seems something's wrong. ]

I thought it might help calm you down some.

[unhappy]

I know. It felt like it was one of those moments your lights would come up or the room would get warm or everything would calm down.

[ But it didn't, and that was weird. it's going to take getting used to, because in her mind, that's always been something she's connected with him. ]

[glorifies]

I'll have to figure out a different way to elicit that effect.

[ They don't have emotion magic here now, after all. ]

I'll get my violin. [ He'd get up, but... he's on her, so he'll wait. ]

[unhappy]

[ Good luck getting your violin. As if in response, both of Emerald's arms wrap around his waist. No leaving. ]

[glorifies]

[ She's not making this easy... But he won't fight it. This isn't bad, anyway.

He does slouch a little, though. ]

Can I lay on my back, too?

[unhappy]

[ .......Fine. She lets go and sits up so that he has room to lay down, then she'll resume her position. ]

[glorifies]

[ He has a green koala... He'll just hold her, then. Not much he can really do like this. ]

What do you want for dinner?

[unhappy]

Green pizza.

[ There's a good chance he doesn't even know what that is. It's not exactly a normal order. But it sounds good right now. ]

[glorifies]

[ She's right. He doesn't know. ]

How do I make it?

[unhappy]

You use pesto for the sauce, then mozzarella for cheese. Then anything else you put on it has to be green or white. Or you order it from a restaurant and have it delivered and eat whatever they give you.

[ Totally up to him. She moves herself so she can tuck under his chin. ]

If you put tofu on it, make sure you press it a lot so it doesnt make the pizza wet.

I don't know how to make pizza.

[ This is an issue. ]

Let's look for a restaurant later, then.

You buy pizza dough from the store and put stuff on it.

[ Look she's not a chef just because she's figured out enough basic home cooking to enjoy it. ]

I'm not hungry now anyway.

[ But... She did just think of something. ]

I'll let you go get your violin.

[glorifies]

Ah, sure. It's just upstairs. I'll go get it.

[ He wants to play for her!! Once she's off him, he heads up to where his bed is. He keeps his violin in its case, in the closet next to his bed. He'll tune it first before coming down. ]

[unhappy]

[ She doesn't realize she has extra time for tuning so as soon as he's out of the room, she lightfootedly rushes to the design panel all the apartments have and does what she does best: messes with it.

But at least in this case, it's only to change the ceiling to show little glowing lights moving about it. It's not quite the same as Akashi's (she still thinks his are the best) but she thinks it meets the sentiment.

She also finally takes off her shoes, which she probably shouldn't have had on the couch, but what Akashi didn't notice (or call her out for) won't hurt him. Then she goes to sit down on the couch again and wait for him. ]
